Script Yorkshire are looking for someone to found a Leeds Branch, which will hold monthly meetings for members.
Duties
Coordinate monthly meetings. The Branch Coordinator will have a say in what happens at meetings, while responding to what Leeds members want. The most common request has been Script Nights where scriptwriters share their work with the group, as either a rehearsed reading or simply having writers read their own work, with feedback from the group. Other ideas include workshops, Play-in-a-day, Scratch and Page to Stage Nights. The Branch Coordinator will either run these sessions or find those who will.
Encourage scriptwriters to come along. We already have a pool of writers that have voiced an interest, but would like to expand this. Work with Newscript Editor to advertise to members.
Work with the Script Yorkshire management team to secure avenueif one has not been confirmed by the time of appointment.
